We've not had the opportunity to add to the blog for a few days, but hopefully we're in more of a routine now.
Our last day in London started cold and grey. We decided to walk down to Hammersmith Bridge where some of the boats were mustering for the Thames pageant. As you can imagine a lot of people had the same idea so it was very festive with plenty of flags, music, etc. There were two rows of large motor boats, vintage steam launches, etc moored in the Thames. After we'd been walking the river bank for about half an hour these boats started hooting and whooping and down between the boats came the start of the procession, the rowing boats. The Australian contingent in their surf lifesaving boats were in this lot so we yelled "Aussie, Aussie, Aussie" and got a wave back.
