Day 13 - Lyme Regis and the Devon Coast

Today we set off to see a bit of the west country and went south from Taunton to Lyme Regis on the Devon Coast. It was raining (of course) but we'd borrowed big umbrellas from Marilyn so we were able to keep dry. The only problem is that the streets are so narrow you have to hold the umbrella above car height because it sticks out over the road.

Lyme Regis is really pretty

Our lovely picnic spot in Sidmouth

So it was onward to Dartmouth.

(More to come on this day, later. - Trouble with internet connections, so getting a bit behind. Will try to catch up over the next couple of days.)

Our hotel at Dartmouth,
the one with the Jubilee bunting
The view when standing in the shower!
We're getting used to stairs. We had to go up 8 flights of stairs
at the Royal Castle, about 80 steps!
The Galleon Bar, made from timbers washed up from wrecks
 of the Armada (supposedly).

Full English breakfast including Devon sausage and fried bread(!!!).
Needless to say it wasn't all eaten.
