Day 7 - Watchet, Somerset

We caught the coach to Somerset and travelled down through rain. At Taunton we were collected by Lesley's sister-in-law, Marilyn. The next day was brighter and after some R&R in the morning Marilyn took us for a drive into north Somerset to a little coastal village called Watchet. As it was a public holiday there was a fair on at the harbour with Morris dancers, Punch & Judy, magicians, etc. Denise was in her element.

On the way back to Taunton we called in at a lovely little place for a cream tea (Devonshire tea for the Aussies reading this). It was on a hillside looking south to Taunton. It has a very pretty garden which we wandered around afterwards.
